How to Transfer Large Equipment into a Glovebox?

A. Using a Custom Enlarged Antechamber:
For large equipment that cannot be transferred through the standard antechamber, a custom, enlarged antechamber can be considered. This allows the safe transfer of large devices without compromising the glovebox's internal environment.

B. Disassembling the Equipment:
For large modular equipment that can be split into smaller parts, consider disassembling it into individual modules. These modules can then be transferred through the antechamber one by one and reassembled inside the glovebox.

C. Removing the Glovebox Window:

This method allows for the direct placement of equipment into the glovebox. VTI uses a vacuum-sealing flange window, making removal and reinstallation convenient. However, it is recommended to minimize the frequency of window removal, as frequent disassembly may compromise the glovebox's sealing integrity.

Note:

  • It is recommended that the removal and reinstallation of the window be performed by qualified personnel to ensure proper and safe handling.
  • Use appropriate tools during window removal and take care not to compromise the glovebox's sealing during the process. Place the equipment carefully inside, avoiding contact with the glovebox walls or sensitive components.
  • After reinstallation, perform a thorough seal integrity test to ensure there are no gas leaks.
